Wrong or missing stock symbol or logo

What to check when a stock symbol is not recognized, has no logo, or shows unexpected details.

Common symptoms

  • A stock symbol is not found while adding a transaction.
  • A company logo is missing or looks wrong.
  • The symbol appears differently from your broker statement.

What to try first

  1. 1Check the stock symbol spelling before adding or importing a transaction.
  2. 2Use the symbol format shown in FolioSync search when selecting a stock.
  3. 3If a PDF or CSV import creates an unexpected symbol, compare it with the transaction preview before saving.
  4. 4Logos are visual helpers and do not affect transaction calculations.
  5. 5If a logo is missing, the holding and calculations can still work as long as the symbol and transaction data are correct.
  6. 6If a company symbol changed, verify whether your transaction history uses the old or new symbol.
  7. 7Refresh stock data and try again if the issue appears temporary.

When opening a ticket

  • Send the symbol, company name, screenshot, and where you saw the wrong or missing logo.
  • Attach the PDF or CSV only if the issue came from an import.
