Stock price is not updating

Troubleshooting delayed or stale stock prices and last-updated timestamps.

Common symptoms

  • Holdings show an old current price.
  • Last updated time is stale.
  • The app works on one network but not another.

What to try first

  1. 1Pull to refresh or use the refresh action on the holdings screen.
  2. 2Clear app cache and try again if the issue looks device-specific.
  3. 3When the app is in the foreground during an open market session, FolioSync refreshes live prices about every 5 minutes.
  4. 4Outside trading hours, on holidays, or after market close, FolioSync uses closing prices so daily profit/loss is based on the latest available close.
  5. 5If a symbol fails to refresh, try again later and mention whether the issue affects one symbol or every holding.

When opening a ticket

  • Send your internet connection details, app version, device model, and screenshot of the stale price.
  • Mention whether the issue affects all symbols or only specific symbols.
