How to read a stock detail page
How to use stock detail screens for price, holdings, transactions, announcements, and shortcuts.
Common symptoms
- You opened a stock and want to understand the detail screen.
- Price, holding, or transaction values look different from portfolio summary.
- You want quick access to stock-specific actions.
What to try first
- 1Open a stock from a portfolio holding, watchlist, or related stock view.
- 2Review price and chart information to understand recent movement where available.
- 3Use holding values to check quantity, average price, current value, and current profit/loss.
- 4Use buy or sell shortcuts when you want to add a transaction for that stock.
- 5Review related transactions when checking why average price, cash, or profit/loss changed.
- 6Review announcements or news from the stock detail area when available.
- 7If values look stale, refresh the screen and confirm the portfolio transaction history is complete.
When opening a ticket
- Send the stock symbol, portfolio name, screenshot, and exact value that looks wrong.
- Mention whether the same value is also wrong on the portfolio screen.
