How to read the Analytics screen
How to interpret allocation, performance, risk, and comparison cards in analytics.
Common symptoms
- You want to understand analytics cards.
- Analytics values differ from a simple holding total.
- Charts or comparisons look incomplete.
What to try first
- 1Open Analytics from the bottom navigation if it is enabled.
- 2Allocation cards show how your portfolio is distributed across holdings, sectors, or asset groups.
- 3Performance cards can compare current value, completed gains/losses, dividends, distributions, and historical movement depending on the screen.
- 4Risk and rolling-return cards depend on available price and transaction history, so newer or incomplete holdings may show limited results.
- 5Best/worst performer cards are based on the holdings and returns available to FolioSync.
- 6Benchmark comparisons can differ from portfolio totals because they compare against a market index rather than your transaction cost.
- 7If analytics look stale after an import or restore, use Settings > Data Protection > Recalculate Analytics.
When opening a ticket
- Send the analytics card name, portfolio name, screenshot, and expected value if a metric looks wrong.
- Attach an Excel export if the issue appears related to transaction history.
