Export backup or Excel for support

Which export to share when support needs to check cash, profit/loss, import, or transaction issues.

Common symptoms

  • Support asks for an Excel export or backup.
  • Cash, profit/loss, average price, or imported transactions need deeper investigation.
  • Screenshots are not enough to identify the calculation issue.

What to try first

  1. 1For calculation issues, use Settings > Data Protection > Export to Excel when available. Excel is usually enough for cash, profit/loss, holdings, and transaction review.
  2. 2For restore, import, or database-specific issues, create a local backup from Settings > Data Protection.
  3. 3Before sharing, confirm the file includes the affected portfolio and date range.
  4. 4Mention the exact stock, fund, transaction date, and expected value in your ticket so support can find the issue quickly.
  5. 5Do not send account passwords, login details, or unrelated personal documents.

When opening a ticket

  • Attach the export or backup only through the support portal or the official support email.
  • Include screenshots showing the expected value and the value shown in FolioSync.
