Export backup or Excel for support
Which export to share when support needs to check cash, profit/loss, import, or transaction issues.
Common symptoms
- Support asks for an Excel export or backup.
- Cash, profit/loss, average price, or imported transactions need deeper investigation.
- Screenshots are not enough to identify the calculation issue.
What to try first
- 1For calculation issues, use Settings > Data Protection > Export to Excel when available. Excel is usually enough for cash, profit/loss, holdings, and transaction review.
- 2For restore, import, or database-specific issues, create a local backup from Settings > Data Protection.
- 3Before sharing, confirm the file includes the affected portfolio and date range.
- 4Mention the exact stock, fund, transaction date, and expected value in your ticket so support can find the issue quickly.
- 5Do not send account passwords, login details, or unrelated personal documents.
When opening a ticket
- Attach the export or backup only through the support portal or the official support email.
- Include screenshots showing the expected value and the value shown in FolioSync.
