Android notifications are not arriving

Checklist for notification permission, app settings, and device background restrictions.

Common symptoms

  • Daily profit/loss or midday update notifications do not arrive.
  • Announcement notifications appear late or inconsistently.
  • Notifications stopped after changing device settings.

What to try first

  1. 1Confirm Android notification permission is allowed for FolioSync.
  2. 2Open Settings > Notifications in FolioSync and confirm the specific notification type is enabled.
  3. 3Allow background usage for FolioSync in Android app settings.
  4. 4Disable aggressive battery restrictions for FolioSync if your device has vendor-specific battery controls.
  5. 5Open the app periodically so scheduled jobs and notification settings can refresh.

When opening a ticket

  • Send device model, Android version, app version, notification settings screenshot, and battery/background settings screenshot.
  • Mention which notification type is missing and when you expected it.
