Stock split or bonus shares were not applied
What to do when automatic bonus/split handling misses a corporate action.
Common symptoms
- Quantity did not change after a split.
- Bonus shares are missing.
- Average price or holding quantity looks wrong after a corporate action.
What to try first
- 1Check that Auto Dividends and auto-create bonus transactions are enabled if you expect FolioSync to create bonus entries from announcements.
- 2Open the stock holding and verify whether a bonus or adjustment entry already exists.
- 3If a bonus issue was missed, add bonus shares manually. Bonus shares increase quantity and dilute average price without changing total invested amount.
- 4If it was a stock split, use the stock split action instead of bonus shares. The split action stores the split ratio, increases quantity, and recalculates average price from the same total invested amount.
- 5Android battery optimization can delay or stop scheduled workers, so allow background usage for FolioSync if automatic processing is frequently missed.
When opening a ticket
- Send the symbol, corporate action details, expected quantity, current quantity, and backup export.
- Mention whether Auto Dividends was enabled before the split/bonus date.
