How AI features work

What FolioSync AI features can do, which features need your own key, and how to enable them.

Common symptoms

  • You want to use AI summaries or analysis in FolioSync.
  • Some AI features are disabled until you add your own key.
  • You want to know which AI features are always available.

What to try first

  1. 1Open Settings > AI Features & Key.
  2. 2FolioSync supports Gemini and Claude settings. You can save or clear your own key from this screen.
  3. 3AI Summary on announcements and AI-powered broker PDF import are shown as always available in the app.
  4. 4Additional AI features can include announcement sentiment, technical analysis, portfolio health check, price commentary, and average down analysis.
  5. 5Features that need your own key remain disabled until a valid key is saved.
  6. 6Your saved key is stored locally on your device.
  7. 7If you use your own Gemini or Claude key, any usage limits, billing, charges, quota usage, or account costs from that AI service are your responsibility. FolioSync is not responsible for charges from your own AI account.
  8. 8AI output should be treated as assistance, not investment advice. Review the underlying portfolio data, announcement, chart, or transaction before acting.
  9. 9If an AI result looks wrong, refresh the related screen and check whether the underlying portfolio or stock data is complete.

When opening a ticket

  • Send the AI feature name, screenshot, app version, and whether your own key is saved if an AI feature fails.
  • Do not send private keys in a support ticket. Remove or hide keys from screenshots.
